"Manish Sisodia Defeated!"
Manish Sisodia faces a major defeat in the Jangpura constituency, while Satyendar Jain also loses in Shakur Basti during the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP emerges victorious in Delhi after 27 years, marking a historic win. Despite the sympathy around their arrests in the Delhi Liquor Scam, the AAP leaders were unable to secure a win. The BJP celebrates its complete dominance, while the AAP struggles to maintain its hold.

New Delhi: Manish Sisodia received a big shock in the Jangpura constituency, where he was defeated in the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh won by a margin of 600 votes, defeating Sisodia. Despite the sympathy around his jail time, it couldn't turn the tide in his favor, leaving Sisodia deeply disappointed.
In Shakur Basti, Satyendar Jain, who contested the elections, lost by a margin of 19,000 votes. BJP's candidate Karnal Singh emerged victorious here as well. An interesting aspect is that all three individuals—Sisodia, Jain, and others—were arrested in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam. Satyendar Jain, a senior AAP leader, was arrested by the ED in the liquor scam case on May 31, 2022, while Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26, 2023.
Meanwhile, in the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP achieved a significant victory, coming to power in Delhi after 27 years. The BJP, which had previously struggled in single-digit seat counts in the last two elections, secured full dominance this time. This victory marks a return to power for the BJP in Delhi after nearly three decades. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) failed to achieve a hat-trick but remained the second-largest party in Delhi. In the New Delhi constituency, Arvind Kejriwal trailed by 1,170 votes after 9 rounds of counting. The Congress, failing to lead in any constituency, saw a significant decline. With the BJP’s victory after 27 years, BJP workers are celebrating their success.
